The Municipality of Ivry-sur-le-Lac is located 100 km north of Montreal. Its immediate neighbours are Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré.
Lake Manitou is at the center of the municipality’s territory and the Town Hall is located at the northern tip of one of its arms.
The municipality covers a large area, running roughly 7 km from north to south and 5 km from east to west but is very lightly populated. The many lakes (including Fer à Cheval, de la Brume, Drummond, and Éphrem) and streams are surrounded by beautiful forest. Wildlife abounds.
